ONLINE
From HD to 4K (or higher), SDR to HDR, film or digital we will create a bespoke workflow for seamless transition of your project from offline to delivery. We have the highest range of online tools including DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Adobe Creative Suite. Combined with our state-of-the-art Dolby Vision Certified grading suite, network infrastructure and storage solutions the Shed is ready for your ambitions. Attending to the detail and ensuring technical compliance is the aim of our online team who will put all the necessary finishing touches to your project.
GRADE
We understand the formidable art of colour to transform an image into an unforgettable visual narrative. Collaborating with DOPs, Directors, Producers and VFX teams we work with mood boards, references, grade and camera tests to investigate and build your story’s look, as it is seamlessly transitioned from pre production, to set and into post production and delivery.
Perhaps you seek to grade in HDR; explore film emulation and grain, integrate VFX or combine archive and new footage, then our colourists have all the tools and experience across credits including Gravity, Killing Season with Robert De Niro, One to One, 97 Minutes, Shaun the Sheep, Killers Anonymous, Reel Britannia T.I.M, Suitable Flesh and Making of an Activist.
VFX
Our focus is to seamlessly address visual errors and create incredible and innovative 2D or 3D effects, which bring your story to life. Including beauty fixes, paint outs, noise reduction, stabilisation, set extensions, 3D character creation and green/blue screen replacements, to name a few. The Dream team - our in house VFX team and partners Viridian FX, & Cranrust are top at what they do and working together, employing creativity, passion and commitment to detail.
REMOTE
From Sheds to LA, Berlin, Malta and the Isle of Man and more, we have set up customised remote solutions, giving clients anywhere ultimate flexibility. The project and all its media assets are managed and housed at Film Shed. We then build personalised solutions for you to access, collaborate, view, and hear the project with the highest and most critical fidelity.
DELIVERABLES & QC
The Shed has delivered to VOD platforms, studios, independents, festivals, and distributors worldwide. Our QC process is multi-faceted- our technicians work with the highest industry standard programmes for automated file quality checks, as well as a comprehensive human eyeball check on all deliverables. Focussing on every detail to ensure technical compliance, fulfilment of the delivery specification and all to schedule.
SOUND EDITORIAL & DESIGN
Giving your project life and making it feel a certain way is the commitment of our audio team. Our experienced and ambitious sound supervisors and designers; Bleat, Ben Carr, James Hynes & James Feltham, know that every project is different and so begin by developing the sound concept and sound map from consultation, script or edit. In collaboration with their dialogue editors, FX designers and Foley specialists they have executed even the most complex of concepts, create highly detailed and original soundtracks.
MIX & MUSIC
Film Shed is partners with some of the best sound facilities in the UK, including multi BAFTA and Academy Award winning studios Bleat, Trigger Films and art4noise. In addition to sound post we offer music composition and music production services. These include full-range orchestral recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
